Serves as graphic artist for weekly newspaper and bimonthly magazine; designs print projects including publication layouts, brochures and advertisements; composes photographs and online videos for publications and websites; creates multimedia online content.
- Exercises knowledge of publication standards in creating page layouts for weekly newspaper and bimonthly magazine, working with editorial staff, design unit and other colleagues in a fast-paced, flexible Mac environment; evaluates and formats photos and makes corrections to copy as needed.
- On a rotating basis, serves as lead graphic artist for publications, coordinating and finalizing transmission of the publication to the printer on deadline days and confirming its receipt by the printer.
- Composes, shoots and edits photographs and online videos for CFBF publications, websites, social media sites and special projects. Coordinates with subjects and with publication editors on logistics for photo shoots.
- Works with in-house clients to evaluate their needs before developing concepts and final designs for promotional materials such as brochures, logos, etc., and for in-house advertisements to appear in CFBF publications, county Farm Bureau publications and outside publications.
- In collaboration with colleagues in the design and editorial units, assists in creating content for CFBF social media sites and websites.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Design Services Supervisor or Division Manager.
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in print, photography and social media.
- Strong knowledge and facility with Adobe Creative Suite in a Macintosh environment, particularly InDesign, InCopy, Photoshop and Illustrator; experience with Premiere Pro and Lightroom would also be helpful; experience working with printers.
- Ability to perform on-location and studio photography, light setups, positioning of subjects.
- Working knowledge of photographic equipment; facility with lighting for both studio and location shoots.
- Demonstrated ability to tell stories creatively through photography and video.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and management software.
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a team.

- Facilitate writing meetings in an effort to analyze, organize and transform ag concepts into professionally designed, engaging, and effective instructional activities
- Design and deliver ag related educational workshops to teachers and students in a variety of settings including ag and education events and conferences
- Formulate lesson plans, comprehensive units, and supplements and then oversee the pilot testing in classrooms to ensure materials are accurate, consistent and effective
- Write content for a variety of communications and serve as proof editor on others’ work
- Serve as curriculum advisor and expert to AITC Staff members and board
- Facilitate the Agriculture Literacy Coalition Northern and Southern California meetings including event logistics, materials, attendance, and follow up
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, communication or education-related field required
- General knowledge of the agriculture industry and education process in California
- Proven ability to convey information in an engaging and effective manner to an audience in the form of public speaking and in written communications using proper grammar and terminology
- Experience in event coordination and promotion of projects including managing project timelines and budgets
- Valid California Teaching Credential and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience beyond student teaching
- Extensive knowledge of the K-12 California Education Standards including Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards and Content Standards
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and In Design preferred
- Ability to travel within California (some overnight) 1 to 3 days per month
- Contribute to the success of grants and other funding sources by providing narratives, budgets, timelines and reporting/evaluation for a variety of projects

Information Technology Manager
The Information Technology Manager plans, directs, and organizes the day-to-day operations and oversight of projects for the Information Technology Department. Responsibilities include management of activities and supervision of staff engaged in database administration, technical support and services, website development, telecommunications systems, network management.
- Proposes and ensures implementation of strategic plan for the organization’s technology infrastructure consistent with evolving organizational needs; develops and implements operational and project specific budgets oversees and evaluates acquisition, replacement, modifications, and retirement of computer systems, network infrastructure and telecommunications systems including maintenance and support of software and hardware; facilities, staffing requirements, system analysis and design; programming and overall budgetary implications of the technical support of Information Technology systems
- Administers and directs department projects; develops qualitative and quantitative measures of productivity, quality control, workload performance standards, system reliability and availability including operational planning and training for staff to ensure the department’s ability to meet critical operational and project deadlines and commitments
- Monitors on-going staff performance; collaborates with staff to determine training opportunities and set performance goals; communicates expectations and provides feedback on a regular basis
- Develops and communicates Information Technology operational policies, procedures, user guidelines, and resources for end-user reference, including developing and delivering on-going training to ensure organization makes maximum use of technology
- Provides periodic reports on the organization’s computing systems including priorities, budgetary status, system availability and progress and completion status of projects and work requests and serves as a resource for management analysis and use of data and information
- Establishes and administers contracts for services and outside consultants in support of department functions

- Working in program and/or operational management, network and infrastructure in a company of 75+ staff

- Administration and management of technology contracts, contractors, vendors and consultants
- Managing a corporate technology support helpdesk

Desktop Support Analyst
The Desktop Support Analyst provides three-tier support for CFBF over a multitude of platforms possessing a background in handling different software and hardware needs of computers and users. The Desktop Support Analyst applies logic, great customer service skills, and vast technical knowledge to remediate technical issues, both hardware and software with minimal supervision.
- Diagnose and resolve nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
- Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies.
- Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases.
- Maintain inventory of installed software/hardware, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
- Manage hardware/software vendors to verify timely product order/delivery to ensure new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
- Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems.
- Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.
- Provide support to off-site and remote users
- Continually update and enhance basic skills in hardware, software and systems through your own efforts and company training.
